Consultation paperwork

Please find attached a consultation letter regarding the proposed extension to Holy Trinity Primary School.  There will be a meeting on Tuesday 15th May at 3.45pm at school for you to attend if you have any questions regarding the extension.  Once the work is complete we will be a one form entry primary school and have room for every year group to have a classroom of their own; hence no more mixed age classes!

The County Council will also have a link on their website.  This will  go live on Wednesday 9th  May (from 00:01) and give you the opportunity to access the full consultation document. Their link will be:

Holy Trinity CE (C) Primary School Consultation

Staffordshire County Council is responsible for ensuring that there are sufficient school places across the county.  Discussions have been held with the school, governing body and diocese over the last year because of a planned local housing development.

A local housing developer is proposing to expand the school to mitigate the impact of their housing development.

A consultation on the principle of expanding the school closed on Tuesday 5th June 2018.

Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet met in July 2018 and approved the publishing of a Statutory Notice for the proposed expansion.

The full statutory proposal was published on Friday 21st September 2018 in the Burton Mail and offered a 4-week consultation period until 19th October 2018.

The consultation period has now closed, and the relevant decision-making procedure will be followed by Staffordshire County Council to confirm whether the developer can progress the project to completion, subject to securing the relevant planning permission.

Further updates on this decision will follow once available.
