Class 7 have been investigating how shadows are formed by creating their own shadow puppets. The children explained that when their puppets blocked the rays of light coming from the light source, it created a shadow. They also explored how shadows can change size depending on how close or far away the light source is and discovered that although a shadow’s size may change, the shape of the shadow will always be the same as the object that cast it.
