This half-term we have been exploring sound in science. This week we carried out a scientific enquiry to find out if the length of a tube effects the sound it produces. We looked at alto and tenor recorders, glockenspiels, boom whackers and two-tone blocks to see if we could identify patterns in the changes in sounds. We discovered that the longer tubes produce lower pitched sounds than shorter tubes.
