We used a bag to represent the stomach and it had some orange juice to represent stomach acid.  We then mashed up banana and biscuit before pushing it through a hole in the bag into a leg of a tight (which represented the intestine).  We squeezed this and removed the water and finally passed the waste products into a cup.
