Our School Day

The school day for children in Reception through to Year 6 starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.20pm.

This means children are in school for 6 hours and 35 minutes each day, which adds up to 32 hours and 55 minutes over a full school week.

The school day includes lessons, playtimes, and lunch. Any before school or after school clubs are optional and sit outside of the compulsory school day.

Our School Day and Drop Off Arrangements

The school day for children in Reception through to Year 6 starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.20pm.

Morning Drop Off

Parents and carers are welcome to drop children off from 8.40am onwards to support a calm and prompt start to the day.

To ensure everyone’s safety and a smooth arrival, we operate two separate entrance gates:

• Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils should enter through the designated Reception and Key Stage 1 gate

• Key Stage 2 pupils should enter through the Key Stage 2 gate

Children are expected to be in class and ready to learn by 8.45am.

End of the School Day and Collection

At the end of the day, parents and carers are invited onto the playground from 3.15pm.

Children will be dismissed at 3.20pm and collected directly from their class teacher to ensure a safe and well organised handover.
