Headteacher’s Welcome

A message from Mrs Wakefield, Headteacher

It is my privilege to welcome you to Holy Trinity CE (C) Primary School. Our school is a place of nurture, love and belonging, where every child is valued and supported to thrive. We are more than a school – we are a family.

Holy Trinity is a thriving and popular Burton school, held in high regard by pupils, parents, staff and the local community. We currently have 206 children aged 2 to 11 on role, each with their own talents, strengths and ambitions. From nursery to Year 6, our children are inspired to aim high, work hard and believe in themselves.

We place equal importance on academic success and personal growth. Our children achieve well because they are challenged and encouraged every step of the way. Our curriculum is broad and ambitious, building strong foundations in English and mathematics while also offering rich opportunities in sport, music, art, drama and literature. This balance ensures our pupils leave us as confident, capable and well-rounded individuals.

Our Christian values guide how we live, learn and work together. They help us to respect and include one another, to celebrate diversity and to build resilience. We are proud to be a listening school, where children know their voices matter and families feel supported.

In January 2025, Ofsted judged Holy Trinity to be GOOD in all areas. Inspectors described us as “a happy, caring school where pupils enjoy learning, feel safe and want to do their best.” They praised pupils for their positive behaviour, pride in their work and the care they show for one another. Parents told inspectors how highly they value the support their families receive.

I am proud to lead a dedicated team that holds the highest aspirations for every child. Together, we are determined to provide the best opportunities so that our pupils develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need for the future.

The best way to experience what makes Holy Trinity so special is to visit us. You will feel the warmth of our community the moment you step inside. Please contact our school office on 01283 247550 to arrange a visit – we would be delighted to welcome you.
