School Vision and Aims

Our Vision, Values and Aims

Our Motto

Inspire to be More…
This motto sits at the heart of all we do. It reflects our commitment to nurturing ambition, encouraging curiosity and helping every child grow beyond what they thought possible.

Our Vision

Holy Trinity CE (C) Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive community supported by dedicated staff, governors, parents and our local churches.
Our vision is to nurture, inspire and challenge every child so that they can flourish academically, personally and socially.

We aim to:

  • help all children reach their full potential
  • provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where every individual feels valued
  • foster mutual respect, kindness and care within school and the wider community
  • ensure that our Christian values shape daily life and decision-making
  • enrich our community through meaningful daily collective worship

Our Christian Values

Our values guide how we learn, treat one another and contribute to our community.
We live out:

  • Koinonia – belonging and community
  • Love – kindness and compassion
  • Honesty – integrity and trust
  • Forgiveness – reflection and fresh starts
  • Dedication – perseverance and commitment
  • Courage – resilience and confidence

These values support our ethos, promote British values, and help prepare children to be thoughtful, responsible and active members of local and global communities.

Our Vision for Every Child

At Holy Trinity, we want every child to:

  • feel safe, valued and included
  • become confident, articulate and reflective learners
  • develop socially, morally, spiritually and culturally
  • embrace challenge and celebrate their successes
  • show respect for themselves, others and the world around them
  • contribute positively to school life and the wider community
  • grow into compassionate, responsible and confident individuals

Our Church Links

As a Church of England school, we value our strong relationships with St Modwen’s Church and The Riverside Church. The Church of England is committed to supporting all children within its communities, whatever their background or beliefs. We share this commitment to providing a high-quality education and supporting children’s wellbeing.

Although “controlled” appears in our name, the school is led by the Local Authority while maintaining a clear Christian character. This ensures a balanced, inclusive curriculum that respects all faiths and none.

What Being a Church School Means for Us

  • Daily Collective Worship that is inclusive, reflective and rooted in Christian values.
  • High-quality Religious Education that supports pupils in exploring faith, understanding diverse perspectives and asking big questions.
  • Close partnership with our local churches, who support worship, events and pastoral care.
  • Special church and school services throughout the year that families are warmly invited to attend.
  • Three Foundation Governors who help maintain and strengthen our Christian ethos.
  • Opportunities through our partner churches for children who wish to explore Baptism or Confirmation.

Our Christian ethos provides a caring and supportive backdrop to everything we do, helping families feel welcomed, encouraged and understood.
