Lunch time

We have fabulous school lunches made on site daily for the children (and staff) to enjoy.  Please see below for our current offers and menus.

Sibling discount information is also below.

If you need any more information, please come in and ask in the office.

Our menus run on a 2 week cycle.  These menus are fully compliant to the School Food Standards and have been compiled with the help of children in school who have fed back to us what they would like to see on the menus.

Children in FS2, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to FREE school lunches daily—this is known as Universal Free School Meals (UFSM).

What is Universal Free School Meals (UFSM)?

Class 1 (FS2), Class 2 and Class 3 parents

Universal Free School Meals (UFSM)  are government funded hot daily two course meals for all children in FS2 (Reception), Year 1 and Year 2.  Free school meals for infants are provided under the Children and Families Act, which came into force in March 2014. It’s based on solid evidence that well-nourished children perform better at school. Universal free school meals also help families save money. Buying a school dinner every day for an academic year costs a family £437 and preparing a packed lunch daily also costs approximately £1.00-£1.50 a day (a potential saving of between £190-£285 per year if your child had a UFSM).  As you can see from the menu, we offer a range of options, including jacket potatoes and sandwiches, for your child to try.  Why not give it a go and save money in the process?   A daily hot meal throughout the cold winter term is an offer from the government too good to miss out on :-)

Please ask in the office if you need more details about this or any other lunchtime query.
