Holy Trinity Primary School Sports Council has been set up to discuss the future of sport in our school. Each of the children represents the school voice in all sporting decisions.
The sports council consists of 10 pupils made up of 2 children from each year group from year 2 to year 6. The sports council meet half termly to discuss ideas for raising the profile of sport in school. The children were all nominated by their classes for a position on the council to represent the school voice in all sporting decisions. These councillors work with Mrs Armah to improve the quality and selection of sports that the school teach or participate in. They take opinions from their classmates and feedback information which helps to inform decision and create a sporting ethos.
Our Sports Council have 4 main aims:
- We believe that athletes come in all shapes and sizes. Let talent and abilities shine through.
- To be able to inspire and develop the athletes of tomorrow.
- To showcase talents and develop skills by holding competitions.
- To promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles through providing sports activities which are inclusive.
